display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image_thumb1.png?resize=251%2C103\" width=\"251\" height=\"103\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>A client mentioned that he didn&#8217;t have any buttons when attempting to print a <a href=\"http:\/\/SoftProCorp.com\" target=\"_blank\">SoftPro<\/a> ProForm Enterprise 6.2 report.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I&#8217;ve seen those buttons move around before and never much cared at the time.\u00a0 Today it mattered, here&#8217;s what I found<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A fresh startup of ProForm on my main monitor works fine.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image002.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image002\" alt=\"clip_image002\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image002_thumb.jpg?resize=265%2C112\" width=\"265\" height=\"112\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I should mention this computer&#8217;s monitor configuration looks like this<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image2.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image_thumb2.png?resize=130%2C114\" width=\"130\" height=\"114\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1 = 1200&#215;1920, 2 = 1280 x 1024, 3 = 1680&#215;1050, 4 = 1024&#215;768<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Monitors 2 and 3 the same window has no buttons<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image3.png\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"image\" alt=\"image\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/image_thumb3.png?resize=263%2C113\" width=\"263\" height=\"113\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If you run into this issue pressing &lt;Ctrl&gt; Enter should get around the problem<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Move it back to the main monitor and the buttons slide to the right<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image004.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image004\" alt=\"clip_image004\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image004_thumb.jpg?resize=266%2C110\" width=\"266\" height=\"110\" align=\"left\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On the 4th monitor, it works fine, but is in a different position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image006.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image006\" alt=\"clip_image006\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image006_thumb.jpg?resize=270%2C113\" width=\"270\" height=\"113\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Moving back to the main monitor slides the buttons a little more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image008.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image008\" alt=\"clip_image008\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image008_thumb.jpg?resize=273%2C114\" width=\"273\" height=\"114\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Back to the 4<sup>th<\/sup> monitor and it\u2019s moving right there too<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image010.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px 10px 0px 20px; display: inline; border-width: 0px;\" title=\"clip_image010\" alt=\"clip_image010\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/danvanfleet.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/clip_image010_thumb.jpg?resize=275%2C117\" width=\"275\" height=\"117\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve seen other buttons move about, the arrow buttons on document selectors are two of them. This one seems to reset itself, I was unable to continue pushing the buttons right, they snapped back somewhat center and started walking right again when I concluded this test.<\/p>\n<p>My guess is the buttons on the bottom of the form are setting their position based on the screen positioning remembered from its initial startup. As the application moves from one resolution to another the buttons move or disappear.\u00a0 I used to change my default monitor to #2, start ProForm, then change my default monitor back to #1 to control how ProForm painted the screen.\u00a0 It was most useful in ProDesign, to make the font bigger.<\/p>\n<p>So if this happens to you, just fill out the form and press &lt;Ctrl&gt; Enter, that will press the OK button.
