3CX IP Phone Systems is the winner

Years ago I installed a number of phone systems, mostly Avaya Partner systems they were great, they had a ton of features for a reasonable cost. I’ve hung up most of my cabling tools but still play with phones from time to time. About a year ago, a client needed a new phone system, after searching high and low we decided on a windows based 3CX system.

FedEx Web Services went down today

The Web is an interesting place, when we start distributing systems over diverse physical locations fun things can happen. One person can have access to a resource, while another one is denied.  Chicago says but it works for me while Columbus says, it’s down for us.  Today after a 4 or so hour outage of FedEx Web Services that’s precisely what happened as the systems were coming on line.

SoftPro Conference 2013

image The 2013 SoftPro Conference just ended.  This year attendance showed the return trend to the levels that we’re accustom to seeing is moving along nicely.  The general sessions filled a large room near it’s capacity.  There were the usual Select and Classic courses tracks, with what I thought was a pretty even attendance to both tracks.

SoftPro ProForm Standard MDB to SQL upgrade

There are things that need checked after converting a database from Access to SQL with SoftPro Standard.  I’ve been through a couple of these, there are things to watch out for. Once the data is converted and with each database showing no unfixed issued during the conversion process, there are some additional items that need done, or checked.
