Big news last week. There won't be a delay in the August 1st deadline, but there will be a grace period on enforcement. HousingWire has a write up on it where they say Richard Cordray informed David Stevens CEO of the MBA that there will be a delay in enforcement.

Stressless Chair Repair
My daughter and I were playing in the living room when she lost her balance and fell onto our Ekornes Vegas Stressless Recliner. Her arm snapped, not my daughter's but the chair's. The child was fine, a little sore in the middle, but otherwise fine. The chair not so good, it had a longitudinal crack from the front middle to the back outside. Stressless chairs have a 10 year warranty, but I was honest and told my story to which they said, no claim. I took it up a level with the same results.
CFPB, Pothole enforcement
Through an interesting twist of fate the CFPB has issued an order against a land development company due to poor road conditions. There are water problems that is preventing the county from accepting the roads. The developer stated they would keep up the roads until the county took them over. They didn’t maintain the roads, the CFPB said they should, and they are.

2015 SoftPro Conference
The 2015 SoftPro Users Conference was held at the Disney Contemporary Resort from April 8th through the 10th. It was a record breaking year with over 400 people in attendance. There were courses on everything from Classic to Select administration. There were conversations flying discussing everything from the CFPB regulations to newly found keystrokes. I sat in the Select Administrator track, where database design and layout were discussed. As well as exciting features like IronPython business rules. The Lender panel was exciting, that really helped let us know where things stood. SoftPro 360 had a good showing of vendors with many prizes given out for visiting vendor tables. All in all it was a great show, well put on. Thanks SoftPro!
Check the Brakes. Is the Red Light Glowing?
Steven Antonakes, a CFPB enforcement associate director spoke on Wednesday and caused more confusion, rumors and possibly inaccurate media reports about delaying the new rule. He said “To the extent there is new information or we’re hearing directly from vendors that folks aren’t going to be ready, we should continue to talk about that. I can’t promise you, but to the extent we will have a better understanding of the concerns, that is something we will consider.” People tweeted, Wait What?, you might delay it…
