Automated SoftPro SQL Database Backup
Backing up the SoftPro SQL database, isn''t that done automatically was the question of the week. Well yes and no is the answer, if you have a SQL database many times it is not included in your backup. Especially if you''ve switched to a Cloud based backup.
In my humble opinion The entire SoftPro Database should be backed up in this fashion on a regular basis even if your main backup catches it. There is too much valuable data in these files not to be specially protected.
So what do we do?
After ProForm Server Move, Error SPFUNCS-350
In moving a ProForm Enterprise 6.2 installation from one server to another, after removing the old server ProForm no longer loads. It fails with an error (SPFUNCS-350) Unable to launch client. The Client and server versions are not in synch. Please update the client to the latest version.
Creating a Transfer Ledger in ProTrust
Today we are switching attorneys at a Title Company I support. Rather than printing individual checks to the attorney, we want to group those checks into a monthly disbursement.
SoftPro will automatically create the initial ledger however, in an efficient operation there are lookup tables that need updated, and maybe templates. The automatic creation of the ledger also causes an informational window to show up asking if a new ledger should be created. Personally I love this, but it can overwhelm users.
