What started as a project to see if I could, has turned into a pretty cool learning tool for the new Closing Disclosure and Loan Estimate forms. The PDF's of those forms are fine. The Final rule itself is tough reading. The September 2014 guide added some good notes in 100 pages of information. But still how are thousands of people going to learn about these new forms.
We call it https://FinalRuleWiki.com
It is a new tool built for learning and sharing information about the Closing Disclosure and Loan Estimate forms. We started with the 1888 page CFPB Final Rule and the September 2014 Guide to the documents and created a web site around them. An image of the form is displayed with hot links to both the applicable final rule section and user contributed Wiki information. It also displays hot links where none existed before linking terms like Section 1038(a)(4) in the text directly to that section in the rule, making jumping around the document easier.
It is free and currently intended as a desktop application, the display tools I used are not currently mobile friendly at all. The site does require a login to view the CFPB or Wiki information, which is quick and easy with a couple social network authentication connections.
Take it for a spin at https://FinalRuleWiki.com it's an educational tool like none I've seen before, specifically designed to allow casual users to absorb necessary information with a quick to understand interface. Touch the form and pertinent specific information is displayed.
