Sometimes we get new documents which require the same default information to be put in the Prompts Dialog of ProForm Classic. (Standard or Enterprise) The Default template can be used to fill out those new items on new files, but what do you do with the files in the pipeline. After proper priming, SoftPro defined Prompts can be filled out from a .PXT overlay file.
Let’s take this Prompts Dialog box:
It has 12 values that must be filled in. To get them there first create a PXT overlay file with the values you need
_SP0078=1.00
_SP0074=5000.00
_SP0113=25000.00
And so on.
Next in SoftPro ProForm, preview the document, by double clicking on it in the ReadyDocs Tree
No need to enter any information, the document is making the place in the file for the values to be stored. Click OK to finish loading the document, then you can close that document.
Now your file is ready to receive the overlay file, simply load it up as normal and the document will be ready to print with no data entry errors.
Do you know if it is possible to enter a “0” on a pxt overlay. In my part of the country typcially sellers pay title insurance and our normal value for PXT is:
slrlppct=100
slroppct=100
However when the buyer is paying for title insurance I need the valcue to be 0:
slrlppct=0
slroppct=0
I haven’t found a way to make it work.
Thanks
Hi Jim, I just noticed this very old question today. I remember working on that problem years ago, I am thinking that SoftPro came up with a unique solution to that particular problem. If you have not, check with SoftPro support on this one. If I remember anything, I’ll post to you here
