My daughter and I were playing in the living room when she lost her balance and fell onto our Ekornes Vegas Stressless Recliner. Her arm snapped, not my daughter’s but the chair’s. The child was fine, a little sore in the middle, but otherwise fine. The chair not so good, it had a longitudinal crack from the front middle to the back outside. Stressless chairs have a 10 year warranty, but I was honest and told my story to which they said, no claim. I took it up a level with the same results.

CFPB, Pothole enforcement

imageThrough an interesting twist of fate the CFPB has issued an order against a land development company due to poor road conditions. There are water problems that is preventing the county from accepting the roads.  The developer stated they would keep up the roads until the county took them over.  They didn’t maintain the roads, the CFPB said they should, and they are.

SoftPro (SPFUNCS-233) Error Unable to initialize Look-up Recordset

Today brought a fun error when attempting to bring up a lookup table for deletion in SoftPro Classic Enterprise SQL. Standard has a similar process.  After pressing F9 an error showed up, SoftPro ProForm threw a SPFUNCS-233, Unable to initialize Look-up Recordset. Return Code = –1 Error Message Text = Invalid column name ‘TITLCON’. Invalid column name ‘TITLNAM’ statement(s) could not be prepared.

Steven Antonakes, a CFPB enforcement associate director spoke on Wednesday and caused more confusion, rumors and possibly inaccurate media reports about delaying the new rule. He said “To the extent there is new information or we’re hearing directly from vendors that folks aren’t going to be ready, we should continue to talk about that. I can’t promise you, but to the extent we will have a better understanding of the concerns, that is something we will consider.” People tweeted, Wait What?, you might delay it…
