In Version 15 HF2 of SoftPro Classic, Pro1099 on some systems likes to start up needing local machine Administrator access. Not all machines, but some of them. I have clients who for good reasons don't want users to have Administrator access. That usually happens as more hands touch more desktops.

Fixing ProForm Classic SQL PFWIN-028
Recently a client upgraded their ProForm Classic Standard installation from MDB to SQL. They have a terminal Server which wasn't included in the update as only IT people use it. ProForm was coming up saying it could not find a unknown file relating to the databases, the error was PFWIN-028. Looking at the information in odbcad32.exe 32 bit or 64 bit showed no visible issues.
Trippy little registry solution
I ran across this today and wanted to be sure to save it. I’m not sure where I’ll use it yet, it needs further investigation.
One of the interesting road blocks that Microsoft built into Windows Operating systems starting with Vista, so 7, 2008 etc. are included, is when a command window or other program is run as administrator, they don’t receive the user’s mapped drives, or other shared network connections.
