This is a 2 part tip of the day. Part one is how to add Disclaimers to every outgoing email in Office 365. Part two is how to configure that disclaimer so that you only include one of them in any email thread. If you're currently forcing your users to add disclaimers to their signature line, or don’t use them at all, you might be better off to add them at a company level rather than user level. Now I won't think about how legally useful these disclaimers are, I just know Lawyers started them. Read on for the details. Continue reading

From Laundry to ifttt then text done
Our laundry machines are in the basement, when we remodeled our 1932 two story home, the staircases were sound insulated. The cute chirping of our front loading machines doesn't stand a chance of cutting through. My wife mentioned that our machines have some sort of phone connection for servicing, why can't they tell her when the cycle is complete.
That started the build.
Windows 10 install and first run
After backing up my laptop, I decided to try out Windows 10. The installation was a little dark at times, nothing being displayed on screen. After successfully completing that I come away with a much better feeling than I did when I tried Windows 8.
The installation seemed to go well, the first login resulted in a black screen with a mouse cursor. After trying a few things I found, a hard reset brought up a working system. The VPN might be a little broken. When copying the Select Client over the VPN, the transfer rates dropped to zero. To fix it, pausing the copy in Windows 10 and resetting the VPN and resuming the copy got it going. That I found a bit weird, but I liked the pause and resume on a copy.
Outlook 2010 autocomplete list nickname .nk2 is gone
Outlook 2010 took the old *.nk2 files and stuffed them into a cache which is a hidden mailbox message. That all sounded good to me, the nk2 files were a pain, I looked forward to a slick management interface in EMC or at least the EMS. None was to be found, but there is a way, albeit slow processing the whole process takes a few minutes on a slow computer.
Odd Mail Loop
A customer support email box, hosted on Exchange was filling up with messages. A couple a minute for the past 4 days. We have a few Time Warner Road Runner mailboxes setup to forward from one to another, then eventually to an Exchange server. The Scan mailbox forwards to Support, which forwards to the external Exchange support address. The Exchange support mailbox was receiving Delivery Status Notification Failure messages and Undeliverable Attached Image messages a few times a minute. For the past 4 days.

Add Buttons to Quick Access Toolbar in Word 2010
One of the drawbacks to the UI as Word 2010 is installed is to create a new blank document it takes 4 clicks, that''s about 3 too many in my humble opinion.
The Quick Access toolbar is at Word''s top left corner and looks like this
